HOUGHTON, MI-- A Houghton man arrested for downloading child pornography has entered a plea in the case.
Gary Gagnier, 28, was charged in September with two counts of possession of child sexually abusive material and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. The Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force worked with Michigan Technological University, the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office and Houghton City Police to investigate Gagnier. Officials say he had been downloading the pornography since June of 2017.
Gagnier pleaded guilty Monday to attempted possession of child sexually abusive material.
Sentencing is set for January 23 in Houghton County Circuit Court.
