Schiefel headed to prison

MARQUETTE, MI--   An Ishpeming man involved in a drive-by shooting in the city last summer has been sentenced.

Brandon Schiefel, 24, was given five to ten years in prison with credit for 224 days already served.

Schiefel was arrested after shots were fired at a house on Iron Street August 28. He was charged with assault with intent to murder, discharge of a firearm in or at a building, discharge of a firearm from a vehicle, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, and six counts of felony firearms.

Scheifel was sentenced Thursday in Marquette County Circuit Court.

 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
