Man convicted for having sex with victim under 13

MARQUETTE, MI-- A Marquette County man has been convicted on several counts of criminal sexual conduct with someone younger than 13.

Following a three-day jury trial in 25^th Circuit Court, Daniel Miller, 19, was found guilty Wednesday on five counts of 1^st-degree criminal sexual conduct, victim under the age of 13, defendant age 17 or older; two counts of 2^nd-degree criminal sexual conduct; and three counts of accosting a minor for immoral purposes.

Miller faces up to life in prison. Each 1^st-degree CSC charge carries a minimum penalty of 25 years in prison alone.

A sentencing date has not yet been set.
