BESSEMER, MI— A man on trial for murder in the death of a Marenisco Township resident last December has been found not guilty on all charges.

Nicholas Millard, 31, was charged with premeditated first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder, and two counts of felony firearms.

Millard was arrested on Christmas Eve of 2021 after Thomas Fletcher, 49, was found dead of a gunshot wound.

Austin Fletcher, 22, was wounded and hospitalized, but later recovered from his injuries.

A jury acquitted Millard on all charges Wednesday in Gogebic County Circuit Court.
