Man accused of stabbing Newberry woman arraigned in Luce County

NEWBERRY, MI— A probable cause conference is set for a Florida man accused of stabbing his girlfriend in Newberry on Saturday.

Jacob Pizarczyk, 24, was arraigned on charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a controlled substance, domestic assault, and habitual offender-4th offense.

The 36-year-old victim was stabbed several times and sustained serious injuries. Her condition is unknown at this time.

A probable cause conference is set for November 10th in Luce County District Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
