Houghton meth suspects arraigned

HOUGHTON, MI— Two people arrested in Houghton on meth charges last week have been arraigned in district court.

Terry Bartlett, 40, and Jamie Bartlett, 42, were arrested at a residence on Spruce Lane February 16th. Forty gallons of hazardous waste were removed from the home.

Jamie Bartlett is charged with possession of ephedrine or pseudoephedrine to manufacture meth. Her bond is set at $2,500.

Terry Bartlett is charged with maintaining a meth lab, delivery/manufacture of meth, and soliciting another to obtain ephedrine/pseudoephedrine. He remains lodged in the Houghton County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

A probable cause hearing is set for March 6th.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
