Man in court on police chase, domestic violence charges

MARQUETTE, MI— A man who led police on a chase from Gwinn to Perkins last month will face two of nine charges out of Marquette County.

Three cases against Steve Fortin, 42, were scheduled for preliminary hearings and two for probable cause conferences. In District Court Wednesday, Fortin pleaded guilty to domestic violence, second offense. He also waived his preliminary exam and was bound over to Circuit Court on a charge of 3^rd-degree fleeing a police officer.

The seven other charges were dismissed.

Arraignment on the fleeing charge will be held April 12^th. A pre-sentence interview on the domestic violence charge will be held April 25^th in Marquette County District Court.
