Menominee man to spend up to 10 years in prison on drug conviction

MENOMINEE, MI— A Menominee man has been sentenced to 20 months to 10 years in prison on a meth conviction.

The Menominee County Prosecutor’s Office says Donald Myers, 51, pleaded guilty to possession of meth in February.

Police started investigating him last May following an explosion at a house on 18th Avenue. The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team seized ingredients and equipment used in the one-pot meth manufacturing process.

The sentence was handed down on April 26th in 41st Circuit Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
