Houghton County man arraigned on meth charges

HOUGHTON, MI— A Hancock man arrested on larceny and drug charges has been arraigned in Houghton County District Court.

Michael Stuber, 55, is accused of stealing a number of items from Houghton and Portage Township businesses. When police searched his apartment on Tuesday, they found stolen merchandise, a large amount of meth, and evidence of drug distribution.

Stuber is charged with delivery/manufacture of meth.

The Houghton County Sheriff's Office says additional charges related to the stolen items will be sought.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
