Mackinac County man accused of murder arraigned

HUDSON TOWNSHIP, MI— Police have identified the man accused of killing his wife in Mackinac County.

Michigan State Police were dispatched Tuesday around 11:25 p.m. to a home in Hudson Township. They found a 31-year-old woman dead upon arrival.

The woman’s husband, Cody Carlson, 31, was arrested. He was arraigned Thursday in 92nd District Court on a charge of second-degree murder. Bond was denied.

A probable cause conference is scheduled for June 24 and a preliminary exam for July 1.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
