Iron Mountain suspect to spend 8 years in prison on narcotics charge

Marinette County Sheriff's Office

MARINETTE, WI— An Iron Mountain man has been sentenced in Marinette County to eight years in prison after he pleaded guilty to a felony drug charge.

Brady Peeters, 27, was stopped by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office in March of 2021. Deputies found fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine during the stop. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver narcotic drugs, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Peeters failed to appear in court and couldn’t be found for a year and seven months. He was eventually recaptured.

In May of this year, Peeters pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver narcotics-second and subsequent offense. The other charges were dropped.

On Tuesday, Peeters was given eight years in prison and five years of extended supervision.

Peeters also faces a charge of reckless homicide-deliver drugs from a January, 2021 incident. A trial in that case is set for March of 2025.
