SAULT STE. MARIE, MI— A former Chippewa County man will stand trial for sexually assaulting a woman in 2016.
Aaron Jarrett, 36, was extradited from Clark County, Washington in February as part of Operation Survivor Justice. It’s a partnership between the Michigan Department of Attorney General, local county prosecutors, and the U.S. Marshals Service to locate, apprehend, and return to Michigan fugitive offenders with outstanding sexual assault warrants.
Jarrett is charged in Michigan with four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of kidnapping.
A trial date has not yet been set.
