HOUGHTON, MI— A Marquette man has been convicted by a Houghton County jury on six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Ward Glass, 69, was accused of sexually assaulting the victim—his stepdaughter—numerous times between 1993 and 1996 in their Calumet home. The assaults happened when the victim was between 11 and 14 years old.
The victim filed a complaint with the Michigan State Police in 2024 after encountering Ward after nearly three decades. Ward was charged by the Department of Attorney General in September 2024.
Ward is scheduled to be sentenced on January 6 in Houghton County Circuit Court.
