MARINETTE, MI— The man accused of killing Marinette resident Gabriella Cartagena has been charged in Wisconsin with first-degree intentional homicide.

Robert Chilcote, 29, appeared in Marinette County Circuit Court Thursday, where bond was set at $2 million. He had been extradited from Minnesota following an arrest there for fleeing police.

Cartagena went missing earlier this month. Chilcote is accused of shooting her during an argument and dumping her body in Menominee County.

His initial hearing was adjourned until March 5.
