Justin Staley, 39, of Des Moines was convicted in 2022 for larceny in a building. He had taken a wallet inadvertently left on the counter of the Holy Smokes tobacco shop in Menominee.

Staley was sentenced to 12 months in jail as a second habitual offender.

Last week, Judge Christopher Ninomiya said Staley had “absconded, failed to report, and used methamphetamine” while on probation. Staley was sentenced to 18 months to 6 years in prison.
