SAULT STE. MARIE, MI— A Chippewa County man has been sentenced for furnishing alcohol to a minor, then sexually assaulting her.
Robert Ross, 43, was convicted in April of third-degree criminal sexual conduct-person physically helpless, fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct-person physically helpless, and furnishing alcohol to a minor.
He was accused of giving alcohol to a 16-year-old, who passed out due to intoxication. She woke up on separate occasions to find Ross sexually touching her.
Ross was sentenced last week to 75 months to 15 years in prison.
