MENOMINEE, MI— A man who was convicted eight times for operating while intoxicated has been sentenced in Menominee County on the latest one.
The Menominee Police Department stopped David Lemery, 46, of Wallace last December for an abnormally loud exhaust. He admitted he didn’t have a driver’s license, then said he’d had a couple of drinks and a six-pack of beer an hour before he was stopped. A THC vape device was also found in Lemery’s pocket.
An analysis showed a blood alcohol level of 0.181 and the presence of THC.
Lemery was sentenced last week to 2 to 7 years in prison for operating while intoxicated, third or subsequent offense, as a habitual second offender.
