HOUGHTON, MI— A 40-year-old Calumet man remains lodged in the Houghton County Jail, following a standoff with law enforcement Tuesday.
Andrey Petrov is charged with felony assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer. He’s accused of throwing knives at a Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team vehicle and aiming a firearm at a deputy during the incident. Petrov eventually surrendered to police.
He remains lodged in the Houghton County Jail on a $500,000 bond. His next hearing is set for October 16.
