WHITEFISH TOWNSHIP, MI-- A body has been found in Chippewa County.
The Sheriff’s Office says the female was found in a remote area along Lake Superior in Whitefish Township Wednesday. The identity of the victim will not be released until all family members are notified.
Officials say they’re treating the death as suspicious. Detectives and evidence technicians worked at the scene where the body was found for several hours Wednesday night. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
The case remains under investigation.
