Alger Max inmate won't be charged in strangulation death

MUNISING, MI--   Charges will not be filed in the case of an Alger Maximum Correctional Facility inmate accused of killing another inmate.

Andre Adams, 39, was identified as the perpetrator in the strangulation death of Carlos Love, 39, of Detroit on May 31.  But since Adams is already serving a life sentence with no possibility of parole for first-degree murder, he won’t be charged.

Prosecutors say they will bring charges against Adams if his current sentence changes in any way.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
