Murdock not guilty on one charge, guilty on four others

MUNISING, MI--   An Alger County man charged with running over his girlfriend with a pickup truck last year has been found not guilty of involuntary manslaughter. 

However, Thomas Murdock, 48, was found guilty Friday of operating while intoxicated causing death, operating while intoxicated-3rdoffense, driving on a suspended license, and possession of marijuana.

Murdock was accused of backing over 44-year-old Lisa Ann Hardwick at a camp in AuTrain Township in June of 2011.  He faces up to 15 years in prison. 

A sentencing date has not yet been set.    

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
