Car crashes into Gladstone Public Safety building

WLUC-TV

GLADSTONE, MI--   Instead of Gladstone Public Safety officers having to search for the suspect in a stolen vehicle case, the suspect came to them.

A man driving a car stolen from a local construction area crashed into the garage of the police building Wednesday around 6 p.m.  Officers had to subdue the man, who they think was under the influence of a controlled substance.  The unnamed suspect was taken to St. Francis Hospital for treatment.

The Delta County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the case for charges.  They could include driving under the influence of drugs, malicious destruction of police property, resisting and obstructing, and larceny of a vehicle.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
