Truck a clue in Peters death?

WATERSMEET TOWNSHIP, MI--   Police are asking the public for help with a case in which the body of a missing Bessemer woman was found in Gogebic County.

Ethel Grzena-Peters, 79, was last seen in her hometown on August 3.  Her body was discovered August 13 in Watersmeet Township.

The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department says foul play has not been ruled out, and they’re looking for people who may have seen a green, 1995 Dodge Dakota pickup truck in the area where Peters was found.

Anyone who may have seen the truck near the Black River Bridge or elsewhere between 6 p.m. August 3 and 6 p.m. August 4 is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at 667-0203 or Michigan State Police at 224-1218.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
