Man stabbed in Marquette bar

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette man has been arrested for stabbing another man at a city bar. 

Police were called to the Long Shot Saloon Friday around 10:30 p.m. on a report of a fight.  They found a 42-year-old man had been stabbed several times.  He was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and later released. 

The 31-year-old suspect fled the bar before police arrived, but was located soon afterward.  He faces a charge of felonious assault.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
