MARQUETTE, MI-- A Michigamme resident has been charged with maintaining a meth lab.
Ishpeming Police arrested Mathew Querfeld, 29, August 31 for driving under the influence of drugs. While searching his vehicle, officers found several components for a meth lab and a small amount of suspected methamphetamine. Further investigation indicated the vehicle’s license plate had been stolen and/or forged.
Querfeld is charged with operating a meth lab, possession of methamphetamine, forgery of a license plate, and operating while intoxicated, second offense.
He remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail on a $47,500 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for September 17 in Marquette District Court.
