Stolen Marinette and Dickinson county vehicles linked to Palmer B&E

MARQUETTE COUNTY, MI--   The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is working with deputies in Dickinson and Marinette counties in its investigation of a breaking-and-entering in Palmer last month.

On November 16 a blue and silver 1999 Chevy Silverado pickup with a red topper was stolen out of Marinette county.  The truck—which contained a handgun—has been linked to the B&E at Fran’s Service Station in Palmer two days later.

On November 19 the Silverado was recovered without the gun and topper in Dickinson County, and around the same time a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Felch was found in Marinette county.

Both stolen vehicles were processed for evidence in Dickinson county.  The case remains under investigation.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Detective Lieutenant Steve Kangas of the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office at 225-8470.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
