ISHPEMING, MI-- Ishpeming Police have arrested a Negaunee man in connection with the break-in of the Huron Mountain Bakery.
Police responded to the bakery March 8th after someone broke into the building and took a cash box. A surveillance camera indicated the crime had occurred shortly before 9 p.m. on the 7th.
On March 9th a search warrant was executed on a Negaunee residence, where possible evidence of the break-in was seized.
After a six-week investigation the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office authorized an arrest warrant for Charles Raymond Elveteci, 30. He’s charged with breaking and entering a building with intent, punishable by up to ten years in prison.
Elveteci remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail on an unrelated matter. A preliminary exam is set for May 6th in Marquette County District Court.
