Suspects arrested in Wild Rover theft case

MARQUETTE, MI--   Marquette Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the theft of a wallet from the Wild Rover restaurant March 5.

Officers say the release of a surveillance video of the incident led to numerous tips from the public.  Further investigation led to the March 21 arrests of Tricia Lou Savard, 33, and Charles Raymond Elvetici, 30—both of Negaunee.  Both are charged with larceny in a building, punishable by up to four years in prison.

Elvetici has also been charged with breaking into the Huron Mountain Bakery in Ishpeming March 7.

Both he and Savard remain lodged in the Marquette County Jail.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
