Vehicle taken in Ishpeming

ISHPEMING, MI--   Ishpeming Police are on the lookout for a vehicle stolen from the 100 block of East Bank Street.  

Officers say the incident happened around 11 p.m. on Tuesday. 

The vehicle is described as a tan, 1996 Ford Explorer bearing Michigan registration BYP7252.  It’s rusty and the driver’s side running board is missing. 

Officials say the keys had been left in the vehicle when it was taken.

Anyone with information regarding the explorer is asked to call Ishpeming Police at 486-4416. 

Officials are reminding residents to lock their doors and not to keep money, valuables, or keys in their vehicles. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
