Pair of suspects rob Baraga County couple

WATTON, MI--   State police say two men claiming to be U.S. Marshals held two Baraga County residents at gunpoint and threatened to shoot them unless family members paid a $10,000 ransom.

The incident happened Thursday in the village of Watton in Covington Township.

State Police from the Calumet Post say two white men with dark complexions in their 20s broke into the home around 4:50 p.m.  They eventually left the victims unharmed after stealing an additional handgun and the victims' personal identification.

The men were last seen traveling east on M-28 in a white Cadillac Escalade SUV.

State police say the suspects remain at large.
