Arrest made in Iron Mountain robbery

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   One of three suspects in an Iron Mountain armed robbery case has been arrested.  

Jacelin Sims, 17, of Iron Mountain is believed to be one of three people who robbed a West Brown Street resident at knifepoint August 6.  The victim was injured when he tried to resist. 

Sims is charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and accessory after the fact. 

A preliminary hearing is set for August 21.

Two other suspects—a man and a woman—remain at large.  Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to call Iron Mountain Police at 774-1234.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
