Woman arrested for stealing, cashing check

MARQUETTE, MI-- A Marquette woman has been arrested on uttering and publishing charges.

Marquette Police say April Marie Barkle, 35, was arrested Monday after a two-month investigation. They say a personal check was stolen from a vehicle, altered, then cashed at a local bank.

Barkle was lodged in the Marquette County Jail on a $500 bond.
