RHINELANDER, WI-- A Rhinelander, Wisconsin man is dead, following a New Year’s bar fight in the city.
WJFW-TV reports police were called to Sackett’s Bar just after midnight Wednesday and found two injured men on the floor. One was taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital for treatment, but the other man died before he reached the hospital. Family members have identified him as Jim Tanner, 48.
Police have not released the cause of the fight, how Tanner died or the second man’s condition.
An autopsy is planned for Thursday.
