Munising Police uncover 'one pot' meth lab in vehicle

MUNISING, MI--  Four Alger County residents are jailed, after police in Munising found meth components in their vehicle.

State Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Tuesday and found a “one pot” active lab and a hydrogen chloride gas generator.

Troopers contacted the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, which seized the components and took them to a secure facility.

All four suspects remain lodged at the Alger County Jail on charges of attempting to manufacture meth.

UPSET says it was the third meth lab detectives had responded to in as many days.  One was in Marquette and the other two in Munising.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
