Kincheloe man arrested in PA for fraud in Delta County

ESCANABA, MI--   A Chippewa County man is lodged in the Delta County Jail on fraud charges.  

Billy Lee Parish, 57, of Kincheloe is charged with 11 felony counts of fraud.  He’s accused of asking homeowners across Delta County in 2011 if they were interested in purchasing electricity-generating windmills.  He allegedly took $2,000 down payments, but did little or no work. 

Police say Parish collected nearly $100,000 from a reported 45 victims. 

Parish was arrested in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 23.  He remains lodged in the Delta County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond. 

Other fraud charges are pending in Iron and Menominee counties.
