Pizza delivery man reports armed robbery

MARQUETTE, MI--   A male suspect has been apprehended for robbing a Marquette pizza delivery man.  

City Police say the incident happened around 12:40 Friday morning at a residence on the 100 block of West Michigan Street. The delivery man said he was robbed of his merchandise after a male subject brandished a handgun.  The suspect then fled the scene with the merchandise.

Officers were able to track the suspect to a residence on the 100 block of West Arch Street and found him in the basement.  The merchandise and a loaded .45 caliber hand gun were recovered at the scene. 

The man was lodged at the Marquette County Jail on robbery charges. 

The incident remains under investigation.
