Suspect sought in Delta County indecent exposure incidents

ESCANABA, MI--   Police in Escanaba are asking residents for help in identifying a man suspected of exposing himself in public and committing a lewd act.

Public Safety officers say the same subject has been reported at least three times in the past two weeks in Escanaba and Wells Township.  He’s described as about 5’9”, skinny, and has a slight growth of facial hair.

In one of the incidents the suspect was wearing a stocking cap.  In another, a hoodie was pulled up, and in a third incident he had nothing on his head, revealing a short haircut.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a red—possibly dull red—low-to-the-ground car from the late 90s to early 2000s.  It’s reported to resemble a Chevy Cavalier or Pontiac Sunfire body style.

Anyone with information regarding the subject is asked to call their local law enforcement agency.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
