Charges still pending in Marquette shooting

MARQUETTE, MI--   Charges have yet to be filed in connection with a shooting incident in Marquette. 

City Police say two people were shot early Sunday morning in an apartment on the 200 block of West Bluff Street.  The victims were a 21-year-old from Ishpeming and a 33-year-old from Iillinois.  Their wounds were not life-threatening. 

Marquette Police are investigating what precipitated the shooting.  They say a report is being prepared and will be submitted to the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office for a review of possible charges. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
