Investigation of damaged vehicles in Ironwood results in arrest

IRONWOOD, MI--   An Iron Mountain man is lodged in the Dickinson County Jail for allegedly causing damage to vehicles on the north side of the city.  

Sunday around 9:20 p.m. Iron Mountain Police were notified of a person acting suspiciously near the Hardee’s restaurant.  

Upon investigation officers discovered three vehicles had been damaged—one on Fourth Street and two others near Rudy’s Body Shop.  Officers arrested a 20-year-old male suspect who was walking near the body shop at the time. 

The unidentified man remains jailed pending formal charges from the Dickinson County Prosecutor’s Office. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
