U.P. fugitive from justice apprehended in Ohio

WAKEFIELD, MI--   State Police have extradited an Ontonagon County man from Ohio to face drug charges in Gogebic County. 

Jeremy Todd Rollins, 37, formerly of White Pine, was arrested by troopers from the Wakefield Post after a several-month investigation into the manufacture of methamphetamine. 

Troopers say Rollins allegedly purchased components used to make meth on several occasions.  A warrant for his arrest was issued out of Gogebic County March 19, but Rollins had fled to Ohio.  He was arrested in the Buckeye State and held for operating/ maintaining a meth lab.

Rollins has been extradited and is currently lodged in the Gogebic County Jail on a $250,000 bond. 

The Michigan Department of Human Services assisted in the investigation. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
