Negaunee apartments evacuated after threats made

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI--   One person is lodged in the Marquette County Jail for making threats at some Negaunee Township apartments.  

Friday around 10:20 p.m. troopers from the Negaunee Post responded to the complex on a report that the subject was threatening other residents.  Due to the nature of the threats the complex was evacuated and the subject arrested. 

The unidentified person was lodged on misdemeanor charges.  The incident remains under investigation for other possible charges. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
