One Ishpeming meth suspect still at large

ISHPEMING, MI--   Ishpeming Police have released the names of two suspects in connection with a meth lab found in the city over the weekend.

Early Sunday morning residents of the upstairs apartment at 655 Maurice Street found materials they thought were meth components in the basement of the building.  They called police, who went to the downstairs apartment to question those residents.  Officers say a man opened the door before they could knock, and fumes from an HCL generator poured out of the apartment.  Two officers were sickened, the man who opened the door was incoherent, and a woman was found unconscious on the floor.

All four were taken to U.P. Health System Bell for treatment, but the two suspects, Steven Greenleaf, 29, and Aimee Fraley, 27, left before doctors released them.  Fraley was later arrested in Marquette on an unrelated warrant.  Greenleaf remains at large.

Fraley and Greenleaf are charged with two counts each of delivery and manufacture of methamphetamine.  Each charge is punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
