Information about Ishpeming arrests released

ISHPEMING, MI--   Ishpeming Police have released the names of two men arrested in a meth bust over the weekend. 

Officers executed a search warrant at 703 Cleveland Avenue Saturday and found meth components, including three used one-pots and two HCL generators, in the house and a vehicle. 

The Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Bradley Allen Helsten, 39, and Gerald Beaver Humphreys, Jr., 51, with one count each of delivery/manufacture of meth, conspiracy to deliver/manufacture meth, and maintaining a meth lab.  All charges are punishable by up to 20 years in prison. 

Both men remain lodged in the Marquette County Jail on $150,000 bonds. 

A preliminary exam is set for April 7 in Ishpeming District Court.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
