State Police suspect foul play in woman's death

CEDARVILLE TOWNSHIP, MI--   A missing Menominee County woman has been found dead.  

State Police from the Gladstone Post say the 43-year-old woman was located Wednesday at the Cedar River State Harbor in Cedarville Township.  They say foul play is suspected. 

The State Police Crime Lab was called in to process the scene for evidence.  An autopsy is scheduled Thursday to determine the cause of death. 

The name of the woman has not been released, pending notification of the next of kin.

Investigation of the case is ongoing.    

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
