Suspect in Marquette gas station robbery arrested

MARQUETTE, MI--   Marquette Police have released the name of a suspect jailed in connection with a robbery at the Krist gas station on Monday.  

Police say Anthony Gonzalez, 27, entered the store around 9:10 p.m. and attempted to make a purchase.  When the cash register was open Gonzalez allegedly reached over the counter and took an unknown amount of cash from the till. 

Officers say prior to that incident numerous larcenies were committed in Marquette.  A suspect was developed and Gonzalez was arrested on charges of robbery and two counts of larceny in a building.  

Bond on all charges is set at $10,000.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
