Negaunee Township man arrested after meth components found in his vehicle

ISHPEMING, MI--   Ishpeming Police have arrested a Negaunee Township man on meth-related charges. 

Sunday around 1:30 p.m. officers made a traffic stop on US-41 near Lakeshore Drive on a vehicle that had an expired plate.  Investigation during the stop uncovered several meth-making components in the vehicle. 

The driver, Eric Scott Miller, 33, was arrested and charged with operating/maintaining a meth lab, purchase/possession of ephedrine-pseudoephedrine to make meth, driving on a suspended license, and no insurance.

Bond is set at 10 percent of $10,000 on each of the two drug charges.

A preliminary hearing is set for February 2 in 96th District Court

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
