Arrest made in Forsyth Township camp B&E

MARQUETTE, MI--   An Ishpeming man has been arrested in connection with a Forsyth Township camp break-in, following a yearlong investigation.  

Township Police say Samuel Robert Duff, 33, was arrested Friday for the breaking-and-entering that happened on Little Shag Lake.  Guns and other items of value were taken. 

Duff is charged with first-degree home invasion, receiving and concealing a firearm, and larceny of a firearm.  He faces up to 35 years in prison and a $12,500 fine.

Duff was arrested by Marquette City Police after they received a tip he was at U.P. Health System Marquette. 

He remains lodged in the Marquette County jail on 10% of a $40,000 bond.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
