Marquette, MI - The Marquette County Sheriff’s department is investigating fraudulent credit card purchases of computers. Deputies say two search warrants were executed resulting in the seizure of two pallets of desktop computers, monitors, and laptops valued at $25,000. Both pallets were being shipped thru Marquette from LaVergne,TN, to Abuja, Nigeria, before they were seized. One victim of the credit card fraud has been identified in Morganville, New Jersey.
The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s department.
