Home invasion suspect arrested in Chocolay Township home

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI--   A Little Lake man is jailed, after state police found him going through a 

Chocolay Township home.

A caller from a residence on US-41 South called 911 Friday around 5:15 a.m. to say they were awakened by someone going through their home and the suspect was still in the house. 

Troopers from the Negaunee Post responded and arrested a 26-year-old man for 1st degree home invasion, possession of analogues, and felony firearms. 

His name is being withheld, pending arraignment.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
