Two Gladstone residents arrested for area break-ins

GLADSTONE, MI--   Gladstone Public Safety officers have arrested two people in connection with a series of breaking-and-enterings in the city.  

Police initiated a three-month investigation into business break-ins and larcenies from motor vehicles.  It resulted in the arrest of Kathryn Sjogren of Gladstone.  She is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on two counts of uttering and publishing, two counts of forgery, four counts of receiving and concealing stolen property, and one count of stealing/retaining a financial transaction device.

Also arrested was Joshua Richer of Gladstone.  He’s charged with two counts of receiving and concealing stolen property.  A probable cause hearing for Richer is set for April 21, while a preliminary exam is scheduled for April 28.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
